Paramount and Bad Robot Extend First Look Deal
Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot Productions have jointly announced today an extension of their exclusive, first-look agreement through December 2015.
Bad Robot's original first look deal with Paramount began in 2006. They are currently shooting the next installment of the studio’s Star Trek franchise. Once again, Abrams is directing and Bad Robot is producing the tent-pole, which will be released in 3D on May 17, 2013.

Warner Bros. to Adapt Manga Bleach
Warner Bros. has plans to adapt Tite Kubo's manga series Bleach into a live-action feature, Variety reports. Peter Segal, who most recently directed Get Smart , will produce and potentially direct while Dan Mazeau ( Wrath of the Titans ) is attached to draft the screenplay.
First published as a serial in "Weekly Shōmen Jump," Bleach tells the story of a young man, Ichigo Kurosaki, who has the power to see ghosts. His life is forever changed after a run-in with a woman named Rukia Kuchiki, who tracks evil spirits called Hollows. She transfers her powers to Ichigo and he takes up the mantle of Soul Reaper, strandind her in the mortal world.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Passes 5 Million DVD and Blu-ray Units Sold
Lionsgate's Summit Entertainment announced today that the home entertainment release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has sold over 5 million DVD and Blu-ray units in the first 11 days of release. DVD sales for the film, which became available at retail on February 11th, are approximately 13% ahead of sales of the third film in the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse , at the same point in its release. Digital sales of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 are also strong with over 74,000 electronic sell through transactions (53% ahead of "Eclipse" at the same time) and over 175,000 video on demand transactions (162% ahead of "Eclipse" at the same time).

Betty Teaser for Mad Men Season Five
The Huffington Post has posted this new teaser for Season 5 of AMC's "Mad Men" featuring January Jones's Betty. The show will be back with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, March 25 at 9pm ET and will return to its regular timeslot on Sunday, April 1 at 10pm ET.
Written by Matthew Weiner and directed by Jennifer Getzinger, the season premiere episode will also be available on amctv.com the Monday after air.

Check Out a New Photo From The Cabin in the Woods
With less than two months to go before the long-awaited release of The Cabin in the Woods , Lionsgate has debuted a brand-new still at the film's official Facebook page. Check it out below!
The film, directed by Drew Goddard ( Cloverfield ), features a script by Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Marvel's The Avengers ) and Goddard and tells of five friends who go to a remote cabin in the woods and the bad things that happen.
The film marks the first team-up between Whedon and Thor star Chris Hemsworth and also stars Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford. The Cabin in the Woods is scheduled to hit theaters on April 13.

Kathryn Bigelow's Bin Laden Film Adds Two
Nash Edgerton and Jennifer Ehle have joined the cast of Kathryn Bigelow's still-untitled Osama bin Laden film , EW reports.
The project, which reunites Bigelow with The Hurt Locker screenwriter Mark Boal, deals with a black ops SEAL team and was recently updated to include the successful operation that took down Osama bin Laden.
Edgerton, who has worked primarily as a stuntman, joins his brother, Joel in the project. Ehle, meanwhile, is best known for appearing in films like The King's Speech and, last year, in The Ides of March and Contagion .

Antje Traue Joins The Seventh Son
Antje Traue, who will soon play the Kryptonian villainess Faora in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel , has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures' The Seventh Son , Variety reports.
Already set to star Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander and Kit Harington, The Seventh Son will be directed by Sergei Bodrov with a script from Matt Greenberg and Chuck Leavitt.
The film is an adaptation of Joseph Delaney's children's book, "The Spook's Apprentice" about Thomas J. Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son, born in the 1700's with supernatural abilities and who furthers his training with the help of a learned "Spook." The novel is the first in a six-part series (known internationally as "The Wardstone Chronicles").

Ehren Kruger Plots Invertigo , and Disney Yeti Film
Plot details are few, but variety is reporting that Sony Pictures has acquired a new script from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon writer Ehren Kruger.
Titled Invertigo , the script was go-written with Bradley Cramp and will be produced by Neal Mortiz with Kruger and Daniel Bobker executive producing.
UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter now has word that Kruger is also involved in Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming mountain adventure project , formerly known as The Hill . Announced last year , the film was to have been based on Disneyland's Matterhorn ride, though the trade notes that the scope has since been widened.
Jason Dean Hall was formerly attached as the project's screenwriter and newcomer Brian Beletic is still slated to direct.

Twentieth Century Fox has released this new photo of Kate Upton in The Three Stooges on the film's official Facebook page with the following caption - "Sometimes clothing can be very distracting. Just LOOK at those shorts!" We have to agree.
Upton, who recently landed the cover of the "2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition" (see below as well), co-stars with Chris Diamantopoulos, Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, Jane Lynch, Larry David, Stephen Collins, Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Hudson in the April 13 release. The comedy was directed by the Farrelly brothers.

Paul Walker to Star in Universal's Skyscraper
Actor and producer Paul Walker has signed a two-year, first-look production deal with Universal Pictures to house his Laguna Ridge Pictures, the studio announced today.
The first project under this agreement is the action-thriller Skyscraper , based on an original idea by Mike Sobel. Walker will executive produce and star, with Neal Moritz's Original Films producing.
Walker's most recent film with the studio, Fast Five , grossed over $630 million dollars at the worldwide box office, making it one of the biggest films in Universal's history. This spring, Walker will start production on Fast & Furious 6 , opening in theaters on May 24, 2013.
